14’ x 25’ Polar King Walk-In Dual Temperature
This 14’ x 25’ Polar King walk-in cooler was custom built for Hollenbeck’s Cider Mill in Cortland, New York. As a family-owned business serving customers throughout Central New York, Hollenbeck’s relies on dependable cold storage to support seasonal apple harvests, fresh cider production, and the storage of perishable products during peak operating periods.
Designed to handle the demands of a busy agricultural operation, this walk-in cooler provides ample refrigerated storage space while offering the durability needed for daily pallet movement, product staging, and frequent employee access.
Built for Agricultural Operations
Food production and agricultural facilities require refrigeration systems capable of handling changing inventory levels and high-volume product movement throughout the harvest season. This installation was engineered to support those demands with upgraded structural components and wide-access entry doors that simplify loading and unloading activities.
Two upgraded 54-inch doors provide convenient access for personnel and product movement, while vinyl strip curtains help maintain interior temperatures during periods of heavy traffic. Heavy-duty steel door trim, ADT kick plates, and door release deflectors provide additional protection in a fast-paced working environment.
Structural & Interior Upgrades
The cooler features 5-inch insulated walls and a sloped roof system designed to accommodate snow loads up to 84 pounds per square foot, making it well suited for Central New York’s winter conditions.
A pallet jack duty floor was incorporated to support the movement of palletized inventory, while pallet bumper guards help protect interior surfaces from daily warehouse activity. Roof flashing, sidewall flashing, exterior base skirting, and anchoring systems provide additional weather protection and long-term structural stability.
